Documenting the South in Film – 2016

This is an edited collection of student films from Dr. Andy Harper’s Fall 2016 Southern Studies course Documenting the South in Film. The films tell stories about education, violence, activism, art, race, sexuality, and music in contemporary Mississippi.

Students in the class, in order of their excerpts, were Zoe McDonald, Hunter Holt, Zack Grossenbacher, Elizabeth Romary, Josh Green, Frank Kossen, and Rebecca Lauck Cleary.
